Description

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) program promotes academic excellence at publicly assisted universities in Ontario. Since 1975, this merit-based scholarship has supported Ontario’s top graduate students across all disciplines. At the University of Toronto, the OGS is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario and the University of Toronto. Each year, the province allocates a set number of OGS awards to universities for distribution among their students.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

✔️ Be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) OR an international student studying at the University of Toronto under a valid student study permit.
✔️ Be registered or intend to register in an eligible full-time program in 2025-2026 (a full-time program consists of two or three consecutive terms leading to a graduate degree).
✔️ Have not exceeded the lifetime maximum of government-funded support or OGS/QEII support for their current level of study.
✔️ Have achieved an A- (or equivalent) in each of the last two years of full-time study OR, if in graduate school, maintain an A- average across all graduate coursework.
✔️ Carefully review program eligibility details outlined by the graduate unit in which they intend to be registered.
