The 2023 International Excellence Scholarship at University of East Anglia in UK
The 2023 Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarship is an application-based award available to individuals who carry an offer of study at UEA. The award offers a scholarship for up to three years of undergraduate study. UEA’s panel meets on a frequent basis with submissions of a high quality offered £4,000 per year whilst those of an amazing nature will be shortlisted to be considered for an award of £10,000 per year.
This scholarship is planned to award international fee status applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can absolutely and concisely describe how studying here at UEA will assist them to create an exceptional contribution to their chosen field of study as well as the broader UEA community.

Eligibility Conditions for the 2023 International Excellence Scholarship
You are eligible for an Undergraduate International Excellence Award under these Terms if you meet all these criteria:
- You are an international student paying Overseas status fees. If the fee status changes during your course, the scholarship shall be discontinued.
- Scholarship applicants must hold either a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time undergraduate degree course at UEA.
- If successful, you must have selected UEA as your firm choice institution, not your insurance choice. The scholarship offer holder must meet all remaining conditions for entry to the University. The scholarship is offered for a specified course and will not be transferred to an alternative course.
- You must be an independently funded student paying their own tuition fees and not sponsored by a government or non-government organization.
- This award cannot be held in conjunction with another UEA scholarship award.

Benefit of Award: £4,000 per year whilst those of an outstanding nature will be put forward to be considered for an award of £10,000 per year.

Eligible Programs
Courses except MBBS Medicine, BSc Physiotherapy, BSc Occupational Therapy, and MSc/BSc Speech and Language Therapy are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
Procedures for Application
Applications to the 2023 International Excellence Scheme are to be submitted via video. You are to film your answer to the following two questions:
- Describe how the course you have chosen will prepare you with the transferable skills needed to meet your future career aspirations
- Consider the different social and extra-curricular opportunities available to you at UEA, and summarize how you may engage with these in order to enhance your experience and those of your fellow students.
Submissions should be in mp4 format, filmed in standard definition (not HD or UHD), and within the duration of 2 minutes.
This is an opportunity to go beyond your personal statement, mention UEA specifically, and tell us why UEA is the right university for you.
UEA is seeking original, interesting responses that display what you will bring to the UEA community during your studies and beyond. You should be able to establish a track record of community contribution through volunteering or extra-curricular activity and research the opportunities that UEA can offer.
UEA would urge you to submit your scholarship application as soon as you discern it is ready. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, meaning that the sooner you apply, the sooner you will discover whether you have been successful.
When applying for this scholarship, you must already hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an undergraduate degree course commencing at UEA in September 2023. Your offer should say that you are an international fee-paying student.
