The 2023 IsDB-ILO Youth Green Skills Accelerator Challenge for Youth-led Organizations
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) call for applications from youth-led not-for-profit organizations to submit new and innovative green ideas and solutions that help training processes for young people residing in post-crisis situations. In order to support young people in further converting their activism, commitment, and creativity into action, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) have planned the “IsDB-ILO Green Skills Accelerator Challenge Call”, with the overarching goal of facilitating youth participation and skills for green jobs for a just transition.

Again, the two institutions would be delighted to unite forces this year to revive the experience adding a focus on post-crisis environments. If the covid-19 crisis is finally dissipating, the world has been fast entangled in a new set of crises. In fact, crises have direct and long-lasting impacts on the world of work: post-crisis environments are often distinguished by important labor surplus, significant changes in labor market demand, as well as important disturbances in education and training.
Reaching out beneficially to individuals whose lives have been affected by the crisis with upskilling programmes adapted to their needs, that allow them to re-engage effectively in national labor markets, reconnect with their communities, and improve their resilience for the next crisis, is a priority for IsDB and the ILO.
