The 2023 LSETF Digital Skills Training Program for Nigerians

The 2023 LSETF Digital Skills Training Program for Nigerians is a governmentsponsored vocational skills program concentrated on making digital capacity and building a more digitallyinclusive society. The program is available to Nigerians who are between the ages of 16 and 35 and are seeking to obtain the fundamental skills needed to access employment opportunities in the digital sector. The program will operate for 8 weeks and will offer technical training to participants on topics such as:

  1. Coding,
  2. Web development,
  3. Software development,
  4. Data science,
  5. Artificial intelligence,
  6. Computer networking,
  7. Digital marketing, and
  8. Customer service.

The curriculum is planned to be adaptable and will be offered either online or offline. After successful completion of the program, participants will acquire certification. 

Additionally, the program also contains vital employability training that equips participants with the skills to properly market their skills, communicate effectively in the workplace, and apply for jobs confidently.

Digital Skills Nigeria (DSN) is a multi-year, multi-stakeholder private-public-non-profit partnership developed by Microsoft with the aim of building the capacity of key government MDAs to offer sustainable, scalable reskilling and employment services positioned to the local labor markets. The program concentrates on providing access to digital skills training (from digital literacy to advanced training) for young people in Nigeria between the ages of 16-35 years. DSN is enforced as a collaboration between Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Google, UN Women, World Economic Forum, Microsoft Nigeria, and eHealth4everyone. Collaborations with top industry players increase the possibilities of discovering quality job placements and assuring success in the digital sector.

Eligibility Conditions for the 2023 LSETF Digital Skills Training Program

This program is available to all Nigerians but not all are qualified to participate, participants must:

  • Be between the ages of 16 and 35 years
  • Be able to work as the program assures immediate employability(probably)
  • Have a Nigerian nationality

Build institutional capacity for federal MDAs to deliver on skilling and employability by increasing the technology competence of the civil service.

Create a more employable youth population, reducing unemployment and underemployment across the country.
