The FirstRand Oxford African Studies Scholarship for an MSc in African Studies at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies at the University of Oxford. FirstRand has come into a collaboration, for another four years, with the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies to permit an excellent South African student to study for an MSc in African Studies at one of the world’s foremost universities, the University of Oxford.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Below are guidelines on eligibility:
- FirstRand will conduct the interviewing and selection procedure, which will run all at once with the FirstRand international postgraduate scholarship programme. Candidates will be assessed based on academic excellence, leadership ability, community involvement and their potential to be a destiny changer.
- Candidates have to apply and be accepted for an MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford.
- Closing date for applications is Friday 19 January 2024, 12:00 UK time.
- Applications can be submitted online only.
MERITS
- The scholarship will provide full financing for one student a year to study for an MSc at the School of Global and Area Studies at the University of Oxford.
- The successful candidate will be housed at Wadham College.
