The Drever Trust International Scholarship is a scholarship program that supports outstanding students from developing countries who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is awarded annually to up to six students who have already been accepted for a full-time postgraduate degree program at a UK university. The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel expenses, and a living allowance for the duration of the student’s degree program, which is typically one year for a master’s degree or three years for a doctoral degree. The Drever Trust International Scholarship is open to students from developing countries who have a strong academic record and can demonstrate their potential to make a positive impact in their home country. Applicants must also show a commitment to their chosen field of study and demonstrate how their studies will contribute to the development of their home country.

The Drever Trust Scholarship will cover the UK tuition fee level for MSc study. Applicants due to pay international tuition fees will be liable for the difference between the UK rate of fee and the international tuition fee. These awards will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility for the 2023 Drever Trust International Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be international students
  • Applicants must have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Edinburgh
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Edinburgh
  • Applicants must have proof of English Language proficiency
  • The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission on one of the following programmes of study, within the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences at the University of Edinburgh
  • Applicants must be enrol in MSc Psychological Research and MSc by Research Psychology
