The BMGA Fellowship Program 2024
The BMGA Fellowship Program 2024 is a social impact initiative organized to straighten the gender skills gap among university graduates in Africa and Asia. It is a virtual experiential learning program that offers women with access to the knowledge and resources needed to obtain fundamental employability skills that strengthen their marketability for a successful career in the 21st Century.
Top global institutions continuously support the BMGA Fellows Program by providing a transformational experience through mentorship, executive coaching, and up-to-date learning resources. The organizers have planned the BMGA Fellows Program in a way that holistically transforms each participant into a globally competitive professional.
With the use of live classes, TED talks, case studies, and other learning tools, participants are able to gain new insights into the skills needed for the future of work. During the program, participants also actively engage in peer-to-peer mentoring with graduate students in top universities across the world.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
The BMGA Fellows Program aims to support young African and Asian women who are strong about their career development and are willing to impact their communities.
- Young women from Africa and Asia.
- Final-year students and early-career professionals with not more than three (3) years of post-undergraduate work experience.
- Excellent academic record: Applicants must have graduated at the top of their class or be a final-year student with a current or cumulative CGPA equivalent to a B+ [UK grade point system].
- Applicants must speak, write, and read English with proficiency.
- Applicants must have regular access to the internet.
MERITS
The program is organized to provide academically motivated final-year students and early-career professionals with the unique opportunity to have a transformational learning experience that will play a pivotal role in their personal and professional development.
This program enables participants to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, and creativity, among others.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Via a rigorous open application process, the selection committee chooses high-potential women, who are early-career professionals or students in their final year of undergraduate education, to participate in an intensive fellowship.
The BMGA Foundation’s selection committee utilizes its expertise to review all applications, and it makes the final decision.
- The BMGA Foundation would release a call for applications from eligible women who are nationals of countries within Africa and Asia.
- A combination of internal and external reviewers will conduct an assessment process through which applicants must go.
- Selected applicants will be notified of their special invitation to join the next multi-cultural cohort.
- Participants who accept this invitation firmly will engage in a week-long onboarding process that will successfully jumpstart their program experience.
Once chosen, participants go through a proper learning experience that utilizes modern technological tools and resources to aid transformational learning. Industry experts and professors from top universities across the world lead the capacity-building courses that make up the program.
Afterwards, BMGA Fellows are inducted into an active Alumni network and attend periodic meet-ups to discuss pertinent issues within their industries. Fellows who show outstanding commitment to the program would also have the opportunity to receive post-program coaching from senior-level professionals.
