The NAREP Oil and Gas Media Fellowship is a special opportunity for media professionals to widen their knowledge of the oil and gas sector in Nigeria. The fellowship offers participants the opportunity to attend a fully-funded, two-week intensive training program on the oil and gas sector. The program contains lectures, discussions, and field visits to oil and gas facilities across Nigeria. The aim of the program is to supply media professionals with the knowledge and skills they require to report accurately and effectively on the oil and gas industry.
This fellowship aims to intensify the capacity of media and civil society to demand transparency and accountability in the extractive sector by improving media and civil society cooperation in the reporting of activities in the industry. It aims to highlight issues and help set the agenda for the government in designing strategies for revenue diversification by looking beyond oil. This fellowship desires to grow natural resource journalism in Nigeria.

Eligibility: The fellowship is open to all experienced Nigerian journalists working in the extractives sector (Oil and Gas and solid minerals). Analysts and researchers working around the extractive sector reforms can also apply.
