World Water Challenge is an international contest for water solutions. As a follow-up activity of the 7th World Water Forum in 2015, it has been annually conducted in conjunction with the Korea International Water Week(KIWW), aspiring to recognize imminent water problems that the world is facing and to find feasible solutions to them.
The World Water Challenge 2023 hold as one of the signature programs of KIWW 2023. This 9th edition of World Water Challenge is expected to serve its role as an important platform to share not only innovative scientific/technological methods but also policy towards solving the defined water challenges around the world and to forge a broad network among the experts and stakeholders in the water sector as well as the diverse field of solution providers.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR THE WORLD WATER CHALLENGE 2023
- Anyone (as an individual or on behalf of an organization) who is interested in water is invited to participate in the program.
MERITS
WWCH 2023 Final Round will be held during the KIWW 2023. More detailed information will be announced to the final contestants.
- Winners will have the chance to be invited to the WWCH showcase during the KIWW 2024 and/or the 10th World Water Forum to share their solutions with experts from all around the world.
- The title of the awards and the amount of prize money are subject to change.
- If there are no qualified solutions for the “THE BEST” prize based on the decision of the evaluation committee, there may not be a winner of the year and/or type of award, and prize money may change.
PROCEDURES FOR APPLICATION
- The solution providers are generously asked to submit their proposals through the web-based submission system (on the KIWW website).
- Solution submission can only proceed after online registration for the KIWW website.
- Kindly assure that all solutions must be filled out in English, using the provided Solution submission template.
- A graphical abstract visually summarizing your solution (e.g., schematic diagram, picture, animation, etc.) should be submitted as a separate file.
Application Deadline: August 27th, 2023 (KST).
