The 2024 McKinsey Forward Program for African Professionals
The McKinsey Forward is a free 5 months online learning program that aims to support and provide African professionals with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to advance, connect, and lead in their careers and beyond. Through a variety of virtual events, workshops, and mentorship, the program will produce opportunities for African professionals to build relationships, improve their skills, be mentors themselves, and develop a strong and vibrant African professional network.
The Forward Program is a three-level learning journey where you can devise new ways of thinking, grow your confidence, and learn to lead with sense. At the end of the program, participants will acquire a McKinsey Forward digital badge and join a deluxe global network of young, life-long learners.

Eligibility Conditions for the 2024 McKinsey Forward Program:
To be eligible for the 2024 McKinsey Forward Program, applicants are required to have met the conditions below:
- Currently residing on the African continent (all countries)
- Currently employed, self-employed, or in between jobs
- Have no more than five years of formal work experience
- Have completed post-secondary education (for example diploma, associate degree, undergraduate degree)
- Have a good command of the English language, as the program will be conducted in English
Program Duration: 5 months

Interactive learning journey
Learn via various formats, not excluding digital courses, discussion boards, virtual workshops with McKinsey experts, and group tasks with real-time peer feedback.
- Complete the Foundation level: 8 weeks, two hours per week
- Achieve the Advanced level and earn a shareable McKinsey Forward digital badge: 12 weeks, two hours per week
- Participate in the Network level: 18 months, ongoing optional activities
