The ICAN-BOI iHack4SDG Challenge 2023 for Global Innovators

Entrepreneurship and innovation are important elements for addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, such as those outlined in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to enhance these values and encourage global innovators to contribute to sustainable development, the ICAN-BOI iHack4SDG 2023 Challenge for Global Innovators has been established. In this article, we will explore the vital details of this exciting competition and the benefits it presents to participants.

ICAN-BOI, in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry, would assemble a new era of innovative thinkers from across the tech industry to address some of the most pressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), tagged iHack4SDG Challenge 2023. ICANBOI Tech Hub, an innovation hub, opens applications for the iHack4SDG Challenge, which will commence from May 17 to May 24, 2023, to be held physically at the ICAN-BOI Innovation Hub. Ten (10) ideas will be chosen to partake in the challenge, from which three (3) teams will emerge winners.

The challenge offers an opportunity for participants to cooperate and produce innovative solutions based on 10 out of the 17 SDGs. These winners will be provided resources and assistance to enhance, test, and scale their ideas, which will eventually become real businesses. They will also carry a chance to demo their solutions and have the opportunity to move into the ICAN-BOI incubation program.

Eligibility for the ICAN-BOI iHack4SDG Challenge 2023:

• Open to all innovators and participants from all backgrounds
• No prior hacking experience is necessary. Since we’re not looking for technical submissions only — anyone can play a part in solving these problems. As long as you’re a team player who thinks the world could be a better place, you’re more than welcomed to join!

Benefits

The winners will obtain up to 3.5 million Naira in cash prizes amongst other benefits and will eventually move into ICANBOI’s incubation support program as well as access to the workspace.

• 2nd Prize – N1,000,000
• 3rd Prize –  N750,000
