The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training 2023
The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training 2023 is an exceptional training program planned to supply business and ICT professionals with the knowledge and skills to help them prosper in a continually changing business environment. This program concentrates on helping these professionals acquire the required skills and confidence to effectively and efficiently demonstrate digital literacy and remain competitive in the job market.
The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training is a unique Youth Development initiative aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years with tech-enabled skills to keep their small businesses pertinent and competitive. The training will be offered through a 5-week online programme which includes Masterclasses from key industry experts.
Participants will be provided data for the period of the programme to have a seamless learning experience. The top 300 participants will also be supported with an Equipment Grant worth N90,000,000.
In collaboration with some of our ecosystem partners – Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, 5 Phases of the ICT and Business Skills Training have been implemented in 16 states since 2018. They are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo and Rivers. So far 4,036 young people have completed this programme.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR THE MTN ICT AND BUSINESS SKILLS TRAINING 2023
- Age: Nigerian male or female 18 – 35 years old
- Business: Own and manage a small business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years
- Location: Own and manage a small business located in one of the following states – Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, Yobe state.
MERITS
In this 6th phase, 3000 youths will partake in the ICT and Business Skills Training to be enforced in collaboration with Microsoft and Meta. It promises to be enlightening as:
- Microsoft will train participants on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and their new Generative AI skills.
- Meta will train participants on Skills to Build Brands and Grow Businesses Online through their Meta Boost Small Business Studios.
